Adhesive and mechanical binding may be the "stars" of the show, but GPPS offers many other services that help move your projects to completion more quickly and accurately. Collating, padding and eyeletting are just a few of the additional finishing services we offer.
Collating
Our high-speed collating capabilities are an essential preparation
step for mechanical binding, adhesive binding and saddle stitching services.
Our single-sheet collating equipment offers up to 30 pockets — plenty
for even the most complex projects.
Rotary Scoring
Our Rollem TR rotary scoring and perforating equipment creates
high-quality scores to help achieve crisp, accurate scores in thick or
heavily-coated stocks. Start/stop scoring and perforating can also be performed and is useful
for direct mail applications.
Drilling
Drilling is an essential step in preparing sheets for loose-leaf or mechanical
binding production, and sometimes used in die-cut pieces. Multiple hole diameters
and patterns are available to meet the specific needs of your project.
Eyeletting
The process of eyeletting involves reinforcing punched holes in paper,
cardboard or laminated materials using brass cylinders. Eyeletting is often
performed on projects such as wall calendars or booklets to be used in
ring binders.
Index
Tabbing
End users love well-organized materials, and index tabs fill that need. GPPS
offers automatic index tab cutting using our Scott Ten Thousand tabbing machine.
Index tabs can be used in mechanically-bound books or ring binders, and several
standard tab extension sizes are available. In addition, Mylar reinforcing can
be applied to tab extensions for improved protection and appearance.
Padding
Printed applications can be padded into tablets or booklets with the use
of adhesive on one edge. This special type of binding holds the stack of
paper together until individual sheets are detached. We can produce pads
with paper or coated stock, as well as folded pads.
Your project isn't complete until it's ready for
shipping. Trust GPPS to take the worry out of this important final step.
We perform kitting, packaging and shrink wrapping to finish the job. We
also offer hand-assembly for custom projects.
Hand Assembly
Our staff takes great care with customized assembly and handwork. We take
pride in professional, consistent results.
Kitting
The fulfillment staff at GPPS can combine several items to create complete
marketing and product sample kits.
Packaging
We make sure your product is ready for shipping and the end-user. GPPS
offers a variety of packaging solutions for your project.
Shrink Wrapping
Shrink wrapping protects products from damage in the packing and shipping
process. We recommend this important step for perfect bound books and product
sets. Depending on your project details, we can shrink wrap inline with
folding to efficiently prepare your projects for shipping and delivery.
